Still very pissed off by the term "IRL" (in real life) in relation to offline relationships. Online. Is. Your. Real. Life. Too. You're interacting with living, breathing people. Those people are somewhere in the world and have their own lives just as much as you do. If that's not real, if that isn't something in your real life, I don't know what is real life to you. The internet doesn't make those people less real or valid to interact with. Let's kill this term last decade please, mkay? Thank you. And no I will never, never stop fighting this absolute abomination of a term. I will fight it with every atom of my being until it dies. Sorry not sorry.

This morning, I had a bit of an incident. I woke up to my cat very loudly scratching and meowing at things outside of my room. I, without thinking, called out at her, through my closed bedroom door, to stop and behave herself. Then I realized that I had no clue what time it was. I check my phone. It's 3:38 AM. Whoops. I'm very surprised I didn't wake anyone up. So that was my night.

Your yearly reminder that Valentines day doesn't have to mean "celebrate romance." It can mean "celebrate love." You can celebrate love without celebrating romance. You can celebrate the day with your romantic partner, or partners, if that's what you want. You can celebrate it with your family, if you care for them and want to uplift that love. You can celebrate it with your friends, if platonic love matters to you and you want to honor it. You can also avoid any of these things if they don't fit you or your love framework. You could even take the day for yourself and practice self care, if you want. The day is whatever you make it. Don't let anyone push you into boxes of what this holiday, or love in general, is supposed to mean, because ultimately, how you celebrate, how you love, isn't anyone's choice. Celebrate the love, the bonds, the people, that mean the most to you. Or, again, don't if you wish. You don't have to honor any relationship if you don't want. Love. Does not. Mean. Romance.
